The sequel came in 1980 in the cinemas then they released two parts in 1983 and 1987, but a fifth was canceled. In 2006, Superman Returns was in cinemas. Superman was very successful. The film had a huge budget and it made six times more than it had cost. The film received an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
